Write Away: A Retreat to Write Home About

The Literary Bohemian loves work that portrays a location's distinctive atmosphere. In the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Český Krumlov, writers will explore how the spirit of a place can influence the writing process. This retreat is recommended for writers of all genres in all stages of their development. If you have a specific project you’re working on, you will get the significant feedback and extra push to bring it forward. The Creativity Workshop

In The Creativity Workshop we use many different techniques to help you find your way through the novel, essay, poem, memoir, or script you are writing or hope to write. You will do free writing, guided visualizations, collaborative writing, journaling, memoir and even some rudimentary drawing, collage and photography.

The city of St. Augustine will be holding events throughout the year, remembering its role in the Voting Rights Act signed 50 years ago. Our conference theme is about politics and writing broadly defined. However we entertain all ideas.
