Publisher's description: We publish a print edition as well as an online edition, featuring high-quality poetry and short fiction with an edge from well-known as well as previously unpublished authors. We offer two literary prizes yearly: The Joy Harjo Poetry Award and The Rick DeMarinis Short Fiction Award. First place winners receive $1250 plus publication/second place receive $250 plus publication. We also publish Honorable Mentions in both genres. Past judges include Marvin Bell, Naomi Shihab Nye, Luis Alberto Urrea, Dorrianne Laux, Robert Olen Butler and Lorian Hemingway. We accept online submissions through our submission manager as well as submissions by mail. See our website or send an SASE for complete submission guidelines.
