Publisher’s Description: Fourth Genre: Explorations in Nonfiction explores the boundaries of contemporary creative/literary nonfiction. We are looking for essays--lyrical, personal, nature, environmental, travel, critical, graphic--that knock our socks off. We want to publish the best nonfiction, pieces that reveal a love of the shape of a sentence as well as a line of inquiry. We publish work from both established and emerging writers.
Recent issues have included work by Brenda Miller, Phillip Lopate, Rebecca McClanahan, Kate Carroll de Gutes, Matthew Gavin Frank, Kathryn Winograd, Steven Church, Joe Bonomo, Leigh Gilmore, and Ryan Van Meter.
Fourth Genre is available at www.msupress.msu.edu/journals/fg, in both print and electronic form.
Published by Michigan State University Press, Fourth Genre is supported by Michigan State University's College of Arts and Letters and the Department of English.
