Publisher’s Description: Many Mountains Moving: a literary journal of diverse contemporary voices appears annually in the fall and welcomes previously unpublished poetry, fiction, nonfiction, reviews and art from writers and artists of all walks of life. Open to all forms of poetry, welcoming outstanding, exciting works which reflect the diversity of our many cultures—writing with intelligence, emotion, wit, and craft. Translations and book reviews also featured. Has published Allen Ginsberg, Yusef Komunyakaa, Robert Bly, Lorna Dee Cervantes, Isabel Allende, Amiri Baraka, Mary Crow, Ursula K. Le Guin and Adrienne Rich.
Founded in 1994 by Naomi Horii with Marilyn Krysl, Many Mountains Moving has been directed since 2005 by Erik Nilsen and Jeffrey Ethan Lee.
Poetry published in Many Mountains Moving has appeared in The Best American Poetry and Pushcart Prize Anthologies.
