Publisher's description: The Write Place at the Write Time is an online magazine committed to publishing not just literary content but literary experiences where readers are engaged, moved and inspired. We wish to speak intimately of the human condition through pieces that portray the entire spectrum of emotions. Every piece has a unique power and presence that stands on its own; we’ve had writers write about surviving an illness, losing a child, embracing a foreign land, learning of their parent’s suicide, discovering love, finding humor in dark hours, and healing from abuse. We strive to foster meaningful connections through the art of storytelling, transcending generations, cultures, and continents to promote universal healing and validation.
For our writers, we provide a deeply personalized, encouraging community. We give interactive feedback on many of the pieces we receive, working to get at the core of a writer’s authentic voice. Our publication includes fiction, memoir-style nonfiction, poetry, writer resources, professional essays, photography, and artwork, as well as thought-provoking interviews with best-selling authors and diverse creative professionals. Writers range from previously unpublished to having written for Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, Time magazine, Glimmer Train, The Southern Review, Worcester Review, The Gettysburg Review, and Random House.
